AVOCADO Seeds

WHAT WE DO

Helping to secure the financial future of today's youth

Young people are growing up in an increasingly complex world where they need to take charge of their own financial future.

AVOCADO Seeds is a movement that inspires and equips children and young people to be great stewards of their finances.

Learning financial literacy from an early age is what enables us to make good decisions and avoid the worrying and stressful impact of poor financial management.

We’re here to provide financial literacy training; from learning how to understand and handle money to managing budgets.

Our goal? To engage, motivate and inspire each new generation, and instill the knowledge and confidence they need to manage their money well, create their own opportunities and work towards a secure financial future.

AVOCADO Seeds trains parents, educators, children and young people in disadvantaged communities for FREE around the world, helping to create financially secure opportunities for aspiring Black, Asian, Multi-Ethnic and Refugee individuals.

Welcome to BONSAÏ

Resources and Information for Youth, curated by Young People

Did you know?

The common name for the Money Tree houseplant is said to originate from an ancient Chinese story.

A poor farmer, praying for wealth, comes across a single Pachira aquatica plant. Impressed by its beauty, he plants more for others to see and soon becomes one of the wealthiest men in the area by selling bonsaÏ money plants.

We chose the name, BonsaÏ, because it translates to, ‘planted in a container’ and we like to think this ancient story is a fitting analogy, representing how you can uncover opportunities, plant ideas, nurture your finances and watch them grow.

BonsaÏ is here to help you de-mystify your finances so that you can make the most out of them, and we do this through our dedicated social platform and training programmes.

Young Entrepreneurs Club

Bring your business ideas to life!

It’s a common misjudgement that young people are irresponsible and incapable of discussing or handling money.

AVOCADO Seeds challenges the notion of the disinterested youth because we know that many young people want but don’t get the opportunity to receive financial guidance, learn about the impact of finance, personally and globally, or the support to confidently pursue an entrepreneurial idea.

We’ve created entrepreneurial and financial literacy workshops to deliver easy to grasp, bite-sized practical knowledge that gives each member the confidence to understand and manage their own finances, guiding them towards creating their own opportunities through financial independence.

If you can relate, either as a young person yourself, or someone who works with young people, consider joining or setting up our Young Entrepreneurs Club in your area.

Our club helps its members with:

  • The benefits of networking
  • Guidance to develop business ideas
  • Exploring investment opportunities
  • Training and support
