About the AVOCADO+ Accelerator Programme

The AVOCADO+ Accelerator Programme is a transformative capacity-building initiative designed to strengthen the sustainability, fundraising capabilities and leadership of UK registered BAMER (Black, Asian, Multi-Ethnic and Refugee) charities and social enterprises.

Through expert-led training, practical learning sessions and tailored mentorship, participating organisations will gain the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to build resilient organisations, secure funding and create lasting impact within their communities.

The programme covers key areas including fundraising, governance, charity finance, organisational development and leadership, providing participants with the tools required to grow sustainably and navigate the challenges facing the voluntary sector.

Who Can Apply?

The AVOCADO+ Accelerator Programme is designed specifically for BAMER-led charities and social enterprises that are committed to strengthening their organisations and increasing their long-term impact.

To be eligible for the programme, your organisation must:

✓ Be a UK registered non-profit organisation

✓ Have an annual income between £0 and £250,000

✓ Be Black, Asian, Multi-Ethnic or Refugee (BAMER) led

✓ Be committed to participating in monthly learning sessions throughout the programme

Programme Timeline & Learning Commitment

The AVOCADO+ Accelerator Programme is designed as a structured learning journey that provides participants with the time, support and resources needed to implement meaningful change within their organisations.

Successful applicants will participate in a series of monthly learning sessions delivered over a seven-month period, combining expert-led training, practical workshops and peer learning opportunities.

Learning Commitment

Participants are expected to attend one full-day session each month throughout the programme.Regular attendance and active participation are essential to ensure organisations gain maximum benefit from the training, mentorship and networking opportunities available through the programme.By committing to the programme, participants will join a community of leaders dedicated to strengthening their organisations and increasing their impact within BAMER communities across the UK.

Programme Fee

Thanks to the generous support of our partners, the AVOCADO+ Accelerator Programme is delivered free of charge to participating organisations.

There is no programme tuition fee.

However, organisations that are successfully shortlisted will be required to pay a one-off administrative fee of £50. This contribution supports participant onboarding, programme administration and resource delivery.

We are committed to ensuring that BAMER-led charities and social enterprises have access to high-quality capacity-building opportunities that support long-term growth and sustainability.
